HMS Lord Clive was the lead ship of Britain's Lord Clive-class monitors. She was named after Robert Clive, the first Baron Clive, a British general during the Seven Years' War who won the Battle of Plassey and later became the British Viceroy of India.

Her main armament was a 12-inch Mk VIII gun, originally taken from a pre-dreadnought battleship. During World War I, she operated in the English Channel, bombarding German positions along the Belgian coast.

In 1918, Lord Clive was fitted with a single 18-inch gun—one of the longest-range guns ever used by the Royal Navy. However, it was only fired four times. Despite its impressive specifications, the gun proved to be of limited practical use, and the design was considered superfluous.

After the war, HMS Lord Clive was decommissioned and scrapped in 1927.
